Hello! I'm coming off a 7ish year hiatus from brewing. Life got pretty busy once you start to factor in marriage, buying a house, a career, and kids, but I'm back!! Before I stopped brewing I brewed a lot out of the Brewing Classic Styles book, brewed a few recipes from HBT and eventually ventured into writing a few of my own recipes.
Brewing 5 gallon batches on a HERMS system. Currently bottling, upgrading to kegs next year (hopefully)
I've brewed 3 batches since getting back at it. (IPA, Pumpkin Ale, and an X-Mas ale is in the fermenter now) With one more scheduled before winter and snow. (Coffee Milk Stout)
As I'm getting back into the swing of things, I went back to the Classic Styles Book for the IPA. I made a few tweaks on the Pumpkin Ale and X-Mas ale. So far everything has been drinkable and I remembered how much fun brewing can be!
I'm always looking to learn how I can improve my brewing, for new recipes and for feedback on my recipes.
Happy Brewing everyone!
