True BUT there are enough absent-minded folks out there like myself who always forget to bring a growler (or just don't want to lug it in both directions) on trips to Cellarmaker that will benefit from this.I guess my question is why add a crowler machine? Isn't it easy enough to fill growlers / half growlers?
Yeah, but from what I can tell with the current volume of beer they produce it doesn't seem necessary to try to push more out the door, and I would prefer beers stay available for longer as growler options. I don't think they have issues with beer sitting, and they certainly have places that are willing to take kegs if necessary. But, I don't have any insight into the actual operations of the brewery, so what do I know...True BUT there are enough absent-minded folks out there like myself who always forget to bring a growler (or just don't want to lug it in both directions) on trips to Cellarmaker that will benefit from this.
Adding a FedEx window to make it easier for all the Dbags buying bottles to just ship direct.I noticed on their website that they will be closed January 2nd to the 6th for renovations. Anyone have any idea what they're planning on doing?
Could just be a "get with the times" or "give your customers more options" move than one purely to move more beer, but I could be being naive in thinking it could be the latter.Yeah, but from what I can tell with the current volume of beer they produce it doesn't seem necessary to try to push more out the door, and I would prefer beers stay available for longer as growler options. Since when is trading considered douchey?Adding a FedEx window to make it easier for all the Dbags buying bottles to just ship direct.

The real answer is reducing the barriers to customers buying growlers -- either don't have glass/put off by the price, or they own growlers they don't have on them.Pretty hard to punch a car key through the barcode on a glass growler when you shotgun it.
Heading over shortly...per FB: Today we are pouring a cask of Wagoner porter conditioned on Beignets from Brenda's. Time to celebrate ends and new beginnings!

Zakim Bridge best bridge![]()
you forgot the dope artwork
I was just there and honestly thought the new bay bridge looked way betterZakim Bridge best bridge
(really good artwork though)
The longer stretch between Treasure Island and Oakland is definitely nice (reminded me of Zakim actually) but the bit between the island and SF is old NYC-esque yuckinessI was just there and honestly thought the new bay bridge looked way better
edit: inb4 talkbridge.com remark
damn, i hope that stuff will still be available tomorrowIn for mocha n ciggs growler in an hour or so. * fingers crossed flesh tones #3 delivers
Does anyone here have any idea how Cellarmaker is not only tapping the Alvarado St beer, but also doing growler fills of it? Did the CA law change when it comes to guest taps at breweries or something? Or are they just saying **** it no one ever gets busted for this? Very curious.
