Is it actually more flexible? I didn't apply because I don't know anyone I know is going to get accepted as a member, and if I were to get in, I'd have to find myself a member who'd be willing to pick up bottles for me, which seems like it could breed extortion wherein local members look for a lot of benefit for themselves to trustee for non-local members (in a general sense - CO people are nice as hell so I'm sure it wouldn't actually get that way).

I should note I also didn't apply because I have had no interaction with Casey/haven't supported Casey at all, and therefore shouldn't be accepted, and would feel weird if I *was* accepted for some reason.

I really like how this society works, though! Good organization IMO.

And I can assure you that what your concern for what it would take to have another member pick up your beer was certainly never an issue in this years club. I had multiple members go out of their way to help me out when I wasn't able to make a release.

Yes, I'm totally sure that for this particular club it wouldn't be an issue. I think, in fact, that I specifically mentioned that in my post. I guess I was just arguing the minor points of shadowane's post that this system is "more flexible," I don't think it is at all.

I'm not sure what the chances are of a non-local like myself making the cut for the club, but I submitted an application anyway.

I had such an awesome time visiting Glenwood for the release last September that I'd love any excuse to visit the city again. I must say that every Colorado trader/beer enthusiast I have met has just been awesome. Here's hoping that Phoenix one day will develop a beer culture similar to what you all have.

I did the exact same yesterday while watching the Broncos. Had a few friends over and cracked open several different CFP's. The Nectarine was a unanimous favorite and everyone wanted another pour. Alas, that last bottle I will solo in my own good time.

Two weekends ago when we were in Glenwood there were a ton of the Montmorency FS left, it really surprised me considering it was delicious.
