But that's the only difference. It's actually way more flexible than allowing trustees. I just find it funny since it seems to imply one thing but allows the opposite.

Is it actually more flexible? I didn't apply because I don't know anyone I know is going to get accepted as a member, and if I were to get in, I'd have to find myself a member who'd be willing to pick up bottles for me, which seems like it could breed extortion wherein local members look for a lot of benefit for themselves to trustee for non-local members (in a general sense - CO people are nice as hell so I'm sure it wouldn't actually get that way).

I should note I also didn't apply because I have had no interaction with Casey/haven't supported Casey at all, and therefore shouldn't be accepted, and would feel weird if I *was* accepted for some reason.

I really like how this society works, though! Good organization IMO.

Let us go ahead and try to avoid using words like rape when talking about trading labels/thank you boxes/etc for picking up beer.

And I can assure you that what your concern for what it would take to have another member pick up your beer was certainly never an issue in this years club. I had multiple members go out of their way to help me out when I wasn't able to make a release.

I applied but don't expect to get it. I've loved all the beers I've been able to try, but haven't made it up yet due to scheduling conflicts. Worth a shot though.

Yes, I'm totally sure that for this particular club it wouldn't be an issue. I think, in fact, that I specifically mentioned that in my post. I guess I was just arguing the minor points of shadowane's post that this system is "more flexible," I don't think it is at all.

I applied.

I sent the below, besides name and location, included the gif, too:

This is how I feel about Casey

I think he's trying to stem out of staters as well you would have to actually know a member to try and sign up from out of state.

I'm not sure what the chances are of a non-local like myself making the cut for the club, but I submitted an application anyway.

I had such an awesome time visiting Glenwood for the release last September that I'd love any excuse to visit the city again. I must say that every Colorado trader/beer enthusiast I have met has just been awesome. Here's hoping that Phoenix one day will develop a beer culture similar to what you all have.

Fingers crossed!

Drank Nectarine CFP yesterday and it may have been better than any Cut I have had. I am starting to become a believer that CFP > The Cut as some of you preach. Although, we have yet to see a stone fruit Cut so we will see....

I did the exact same yesterday while watching the Broncos. Had a few friends over and cracked open several different CFP's. The Nectarine was a unanimous favorite and everyone wanted another pour. Alas, that last bottle I will solo in my own good time.

The Montmorency Cherry Fruit Stand I had yesterday was so. Damn. Good. It was from the August bottling that was distributed around GABF. I'm so mad I didn't buy more. And I knew I would probably be mad for not buying more but limited myself anyway. I hate myself sometimes.

Hnnnggg.

I need to get into this extended family. Should have said my family, Thomas Wayne and Martha Wayne were murdered, leaving a theater, to get that sympathy card.

Two weekends ago when we were in Glenwood there were a ton of the Montmorency FS left, it really surprised me considering it was delicious.

I'm drinking the 2/10 now and it is sooo much better than the one I had at pre Dark Lord festivities in April.

So I had a momentary lack of consciousness and moved to New York. It gets worse. My lovely nest in Colorado was only 30 mins from Casey, yet I relocated not only to New York, but to the harsh, unyielding, beer-and-woman-devoid abyss known as Rochester. Long gone are the days of finding cases of BCBS sitting on store floors in mid-December, here are the days of fighting hordes of relentless neckbeards over 1 bottle of BCBS.

That being said, any current CB&B members willing to be my trustee of sorts for next year's club? I'll send you prepaid labels, shippers, thank-you boxes, your favorite East Coast IPAs, butt plugs and lube, eternal gratitude, whatever floats your boat.
