Hello Good Folks,
So, Tuesday I finished up my second batch of elderberry wine. Just as I was done I found out that the cap was too large for my 6.5 carboy. I tried taping it to seal it and tying string but to no avail. So enter the nitrile glove, as of last night. I put a pin hole in one of the fingers and went to bed.
This morning it was the size of a watermelon. I poked more holes, finally just a little tear and the thing started to deflate. You can see the surface tension on the wine just moving with the release of co2.
Going to the wine making store this morning and I have a list.
