So, I packaged my first brew today and used corn sugar. I noticed when I boiled the solution, after bottling all 23 liters there was a thin layer of sticky sugar on the bottom of the pan that wouldnt rinse with just water. Is this going to affect the bottle conditioning?

It's normal to have a thin layer of sugar water on the bottom, but it should rinse off easily. Make sure to boil your sugar in enough water (about 2 cups/480ml for a typical 5 imp gal/23L batch). A gentle boil is all that's needed.

If you left a lot of syrup behind, your carbonation might be a bit less, but I wouldn't worry about it.
