I've seen people say a lot of good things about using CaraRed, but not many guidelines on how much to use to achieve a good color. Another thing I'm unsure of is how much to reduce my other specialty grains. I first came up with 12% Crystal 80 and 3% Crystal 120 for and srm of 13. I'm trying to make a hoppy red ale that is also sweet and toffee like. This will be the first recipe I'll be making and only my third batch, so any help is appreciated.
