Can't believe my wife did this......

Same.

My wife also loves Lindemen's and certain types of wine so in order to appease her, I am experimenting in wine/mead making as well.

I tried that too. She only likes super-sweet wine (Mogan-David), so she didn't care for the mead or wine I made. And I'm not that interested in it, so I didn't stick with it more than a couple years....although I'm thinking of making a "plain" mead again...

I've only been married for 3 years, so I hear the first statement more often than I hear the last one. Guys-even when we're right, we're wrong.

Ah, Enlightened One! You have learned perhaps THE most important principle of a long and contented marriage. Remember: don't analyze the situation, just apologize.

"What do you do around here all day, I'm sorry."

Lucky my GF loves my beers... Even styles she doesn't appreciate commercial examples of. It's near impossible to keep any of my Belgian Black Ale around. She's been asking me to teach her how to brew for some time.
On a side note... She NEVER drinks BMC. :mug:

While out to lunch a few weeks ago, my better half traded in her glass of wine for a pint of Dunkel that I was enjoying. I was so proud, I had to take a picture! Thankfully for me, she is extremely supportive in my little "hobby" and likes to help bottle. I was going to bottle my hefe this afternoon, but she isn't home and I think she might actually be mad if I did it without her!

OUTSTANDING! LOL My brother said to me the other day... "You've ruined my taste buds." I figured he must have been given a sour bottle of brew. No... he used to love Miller Light but cannot stand the stuff now since drinking my beer. LOL Says ML now tastes like poorly flavored Alka Seltzer. Yeah, tis a good feeling.

this has happened twice to me! first time when she started liking blue moons, and then moved onto a slew of german hefeweizens and belgian wits.. been like that for years.. then we just got back from UK/Ireland honeymoon trip, and low and behold, she finds out she likes Guinness!

It was a proud moment for me last night. My wife who rarely drinks beer in the first place and when she does, will only drink bud light has always been forced to a least take a sip of my creations. The response has always been....ugh.

Well friday night I came home from a ball game to find my wife drinking one of my pale ales (edworts) since it was the only thing in the fridge and had a rough day on the job.

I didn't say anything but watched her intently as she took each sip waiting for some sort of comment. None to be had.

Long story short....come Sunday evening we are sitting down watching a movie, had gone shopping earlier that day which included a sixer of her bud light which was now in the fridge...she asks if I want a beer.

I say sure and let her fish out a pale ale for me and a BL for her. Well she comes back with two pints of what look like my pale ales and smiles. "Well" she says, "it's kind've pointless drinking BL when I have the good stuff right here"

That right there was my proudest moment, my wife now knows what good beer is. I love being inspired, and now will have to brew more :rockin:

That would make my year right there.

I kind of have the opposite problem. My wife only likes craft beers now. Even on a canoe trip we buy canned craft beer.

Here's a tip that will help you out immensly in the future: you can get away with drinking one glass a day for about 4 days, just say "it's still not ready, i was just testing to see if it's done." if she questions that, "well, i'm not going to dump it." After a few days of that, she'll just grab her own glass, then 1/3 of your beer slowly dissapears when you're not watching

But hey, she'll no longer roll her eyes when you start getting your equiptment together on saturday morning.:ban:

congrats.

I guess I fall into the so called "lucky / have to share class". We've been married for a lil' over 2 yrs now and she likes my brews....all of them and some I don't even care for. Recently kegged a hefe that did not make my re-brew list, but low & behold she puts her name on it and makes her GF's ask before they pull a pint of it!:rockin:

Mine is a self proclaimed BL lover, but recently she has been changing her ways on her own. After I showed her calories per pint (vs per bottle of BL) of the NB Blonde I did last batch she has been drinking much more of my brew.

The more she drinks the more she is deciding BL isn't as tasty. The other day we went to our local fried food watering hole and instead of ordering a BL she had a PBR with me and said I don't like the way BL tastes anymore?!?!
