Hello
On a whim, I decided to throw together a 2.5 gal batch of a Pale Ale. I haven't done one in a while, and didn't put a whole lot of effort into it. But to be honest, I just added hops for dry hopping and when I smelt the fermenter, it was the best I have done to this point..
Anyways, what do ya'll think of this recipe? Probably light on the grain bill. I lika de hop tho lol
OPA (Orange Pale Ale) 2-3 gal (AG)
American ale yeast
3 lbs 2 Row
1/2 lbs crystal malt (40L)
1/2 lbs wheat malt
1/4 lbs flaked barley
1/4 lbs flaked maize
1 oz cascade 60 min
1/2 oz cascade 40 min
1/2 oz cascade 20 min
1/2 oz nugget 10 min
1/2 oz nugget 5 min
1/4 oz dried orange peel 20 min
1/4 oz dried orange peel 5 min
1/2 tsp Irish moss 10 min
In primary for 1 month as of today.
Dry hop (today):
1 oz amarillo (3-5 days)
1/2 oz dried orange peel (3-5 days)
I am going to move to my secondary to let it settle in a few days then bottle.
