I’m making burgers tonight along with my first attempt at homemade fries. I’ll try to get better pics than is usual for me.

8oz patties with pepperjack and cheddar, beer & hot honey caramelized onions on one, pickles and bacon added to the second after the pic was taken. Topped with my daughter’s burger sauce. They were smoked then finished on my blackstone.
The fries were great for a first attempt. I fried them in coconut oil then baked them for a finishing touch.
For beer, there was a variety: my Atonement porter, giraffeman’s sour mango, my old ale and a commercial lager.

I haven’t done fries yet but homemade onion rings are the way to go! Onion rings are better than fries anyway…
Venison burger, c on c, and hb neipa.
Out at Goburger, mushrooms, grilled onions ketchup and mayo. Had a few of hubby’s onion rings, they don’t serve beer anymore, so unsweetened iced tea. I’m cooking burgers tonight.

Crap I forgot to post our latest Meat Up pics. This is from last Tuesday at my favorite bar ever, Killmeyer’s in Staten Island. It’s a very old, authentic German pub from the “company store” days of the local brick factory. They recently changed hands after quality went south for a bunch of years. What a difference fresh blood makes! I had a Kostritzer with it. One of my favorite German lagers.

Jalapeno bacon smash burger and hazy ipa. My life is complete.
A patty melt with sharp cheddar, fried onions on rye, and side salad.

HB Irish Red. 80/20 burger with Swiss and sautéed onions and mushrooms.
I blame the poor lighting, single photo take and frozen veggies on the chaos of a 1 and 3 year old. Burgers definitely took the priority tonight.
100% venison burger, did mushroom swiss and added some sauteed onion on brioche. Corn on the cob with a Sam to wash it down. Hit the spot!
60%venison 40% brisket classic burger style, cheddar cheese, LTO and homemade pickle, on brioche. There's a new trail west coast ipa back there just not in the picture.. oh, from last night btw.

My burger intake will heat up again now that summer is coming. But for today, it's smoked brisket.

The Volcano Burger at a local restaurant. Very spicy! Unfortunately NJ restaurants love using sub-par rolls as buns. Many a burger has been ruined by this same bun. I still enjoyed it, but next time I will ask them to use the pretzel bun they have for some of their other burgers. No beer for me lately, I’ve been craving cocktails. I had their version of a Hurricane.
Sauteed some leftover mushrooms on the Blackstone to add to the double burger last night. Plus onion straws and a Racer 5.
The other night I found myself flying solo. Grilled burger ( home ground brisket), green chile, cheese and guac.
85%lean grass fed, with cheddar and ketchup- hubby’s plate, my burger cut.

Lamb Burger recipe from Michael Symon. Was supposed to be cut in half and served in the pita pocket, but the pita want opening up properly. Served with Greek fries.

I had a bacon double cheeseburger at the stadium earlier for lunch. Father’s Day dinner is steak time! Happy Father’s Day gents.
Unintentionally, Fathers Day tradition has become grilling burgers.
Toddler fight at the same time as the propane ran out. By the time I swapped the tank, the burgers were overdone and the onions were a little underdone. Nonetheless, they were great. Accompanied by sweet potato fries and a homebrewed hoppy lager.
Only got the before pic.. from father's day as well, sierra Nevada pale ale not pictured. 50/50 venison/beef.
