Whenever I hear people talking about the best way to get bulk grain, I always ask them if they have ever just gone into a local brewery on a weekday morning (or whenever they open) and buy the brewer a beer? I have gotten to know a couple of the local brewers from the Grand Rapids, MI area and I now have a couple of well known breweries that I can just walk in on a wednesday morning and grab a 50Lb sack of base malt for 35$. I dont know if there are any close to you, but even if you have to drive a bit it may be worth looking into. And possibly easier than setting up a group of people.
