I'm looking at doing a Brutus build and I would like step mashes rather than creeping up a ramp to the next step.
So instead of slowly recirculating during the temp rise, what about closing the drain from the MT, heating the water in the boiler to 1 or 2°C above the next step temp and then pumping most of it into the MT then opening the MT valve and restarting the wort draining into the vessel.
Would this make step changes faster?
Many Thanks. Aamcle
