RS memberships were taken in manner of a few hours, and that's after all the infection BS. They're not losing any sleep over you not renewing.

I don't think it's true that they don't care, or as you put it not losing sleep. Right now it's not hurting their bottom line. In fact the turn over may increase sales as new members probably max out more often. That said with all the surveys they do, they are trying to keep a pulse on the big picture and not just the 5% active on the beer boards.

Just got the Terreux announcement email. Is it me or does Beret sound exactly like Bottleworks XII?

Imperial sour wit with raspberries?

Cuivre™

17% abv
$29.99 - $23.99
Purchase Limit: 6 BottlesThis beer will see general distribution

The traditional seventh anniversary gift is copper, so we've named our 7th anniversary ale "Cuivre" which is "copper" in French.

Cuivre is our seventh anniversary ale, loosely brewed in the English-style Old Ale tradition using our house Belgian yeast strain and then blended using the solera method. A portion of each of our anniversary ales is saved in our barrels and blended in with the next year's production, providing more complexity and depth of character that comes with age. Layered with complex flavors of dark fruit, vanilla, oak, and burnt sugar, Cuivre is a robust ale, surely the perfect beer to mark this major milestone.

Imperial Or Xata™

11.2% abv
$14.99 - $11.99
Purchase Limit: 4 bottles
Reserve Society Exclusive

Horchata is a traditional, sweet, milky drink originating in Spain and Latin America that has become quite popular in Southern California, particularly with Mexican cuisine. Our take on the traditionally non-alcoholic drink is a blonde ale brewed with a heavy dosing of rice, cinnamon and fresh vanilla beans along with lactose for a little extra creamy character. If you didn't know better, you'd think it was carbonated horchata. The flavor is hard to describe, but for those who know it, you know you love it. This limited edition variation on our seasonal release is spruced up with a bit more malt and more spice for an extra kick.

“On Earth Day, April 22nd, we'll be placing the first of our newly rebranded Bruery Terreux beers on sale both in our Tasting Room and online and we'll also have one of our highly anticipated Bruery Terreux beers available exclusively for our Society members as a third allocation for the month, so keep an eye on your inboxes that morning..”

It wasn't sweet enough already so they just went all in on it
this was exactly what I thought and my butthole puckered for the onslaught of saccharine, just a longer boil, underattenuated cake batter mess, i flexed my traps and waited for White Chocolate version 2.0

but i was ******* wrong.

Somehow, the higher abv cleans this out, it drinks like an 8% beer, feels nimbly and clean dripping with vanilla and waffle cone. this is from the pilot system so im hoping it was the same but, the imperial or xata was damn good on draft, not flabby like i was expecting. who knows if the bottles deliver the same way

hey y'all. my replacement bruery HS trustee seems to have vanished. anyone that lives/works near the bruery or goes pretty frequently intrigued at trusteeing for me? pls have good trade feedback, like fluffy white dogs, etc

So that pumpkin porter thing...ignis fatuus

I heard some of the batches were infected so I approached my bottle last night with very little expectations. Ended up being pleasantly surprised. My bottle was not infected. It wasnt the best pumpkin beer ive had but it was pretty enjoyable. Lots of starchy/vegetative pumpkin flavor present that I could see being off-putting to some.

I think ive finally learned how to fully appreciate my bruery membership. Proceed with terrible attitude and low expectations and come out enamored by mediocrity!

The wanderer 2013, sour in the rye 2013, and melange #3 2012 are all on sale right now. Didn't get an email for this one.
Thanks for the heads up!

How much Wanderer did they make? Seems to be the 3rd time it's come up in archive sales, though I could be wrong on that.

I have no idea how much. This is my first year in any of the societies, and my co-Hoarder notified me that these were on sale.

Interested to see what Earth Day brings us.

I'm thinking like, a double digit abv sour imperial wit bear with brett and cacao nibs. With 8 layers of wax.

So much self loathing this year. Ungh. I really do hope the sours return to what made me like The Bruery so much in the first place. Even then I'm not sure if it'll matter.
