Thanks, I'm guessing a big reason it's more noticeable here is because it's such a big list where almost every entry has a TM or R symbol.

The bad news is that we all must use these symbols from now on for all forum posts. Make sure to remember every time you type Black Tuesday®, Grey Monday™, or Ebony & OakFU .

Is there a specific reason they aren't even bothering to tap regular So Happens It's Tuesday and just keep cranking out those variants on tap?

if anyone is looking to split a bruery reserve membership next year let me know...i am currently a member but dont need to be spending a grand a year on bruery beer. shoot me a bm and we can discusss deets.

Mocha Wednesday and SitR Peaches for RS this year? Game on!
I was just thinking about this after renewing my RS... It doesn't actually say RS exclusive. It says "Society Exclusive" and not RS exclusive. It could mean HS... I am confuse... Am I missing something?

I want SiTR Peaches! I love that beer!

According to the list I have here at work (my own spreadsheet based on initial offerings expected for 2014 HS) the following beers are yet to be released this year:

Rum Black Tuesday
(and of course regular BT)
BA 6 Geese-A-Laying
Mardi Rouge (Wineification 2?)
Blue BBLs
Hoarders Blend #2
So Happens It's Tuesday
Melange #3
Mystery Beer #1
Mystery Beer #2
Oaked Old Richland
Rum Autumn Maple

Am I missing anything?

Does anyone have any info on Hoarder's Blend #2, or either of the Mystery Beers?

For some reason I also have Oude Tart, Melange #1, and White Oak on the list as unreleased as well. Haven't those been released already?

Isn't one of the Hoarders blends the Old Fashioned and the other the fruited Berliner (I forget which fruit won)?

Hang on. I thought Hoarder's Blend #1 was Melange 9? (Coconut SitR blend?)

Edit:
Hoarder's Blend #1 was Melange 9
Hoarder's Blend #2 will be Fruited Berliner

I believe one of the mystery beers will be the Old Fashioned.

Hmm. I'm not sure. They referred to Old Fashioned and the Fruited Berliner as Pilot Beer #1 & #2 as part of the "Hoarders Pilot Series." I think that's separate from the Mystery Beer Series. Maybe Melange #9 was part of a different series?

You may be right. I know that the fruited Berliner is Hoarder's Pilot #2.

If I remember correctly, M#9 came from a blending session. If that blending session included RS members then it is likely that M#9 ws mystery beer #1?

Uggh. I don't know why I am so fickle about deleting emails. I even have gmail...

Hoarders Society Exclusive
Mélange #9 was created by your peers at a special blending competition held in November 2013 for our Hoarders Society members at the time. Each team was given access to a slew of our barrel aged beers and were allowed to bring in pretty much any ingredient of their own to add to the mix. The winning blend is a sour ale, using both our sour blonde ale and Sour in the Rye, with a hint of sweetness from White Oak Sap. Coconut and fresh ginger was added to the blend just a few days before packaging, generating a super fresh, tropical spice.

M#9 is not a mystery beer, nor was it either of the pilot beers. Pilot #1 is Old Fashioned, Pilot #2 is fruited Berliner, and neither mystery beer has been revealed yet. Matt said that the first mystery beer should be released in October, so we'll likely find out about that on Monday.

C'mon DB Black Tuesday for mystery beer #1

Whatever it is, I would hope they went for something that will blow people away. Obviously I have no insight into their renewal numbers but a lot of people I know are on the fence. If they drop something amazing, they'd be doing themselves a big favor in getting people excited to sign up for another year.

On the state label approval site or whatever it's called they recently got label approval for "Trois Poules Francais". I really hope it's not a rebrew of that beer as a mystery beer and it's something that'll blow everyone away.

Yeah, I was looking at the COLA registry and it looks like old beers get re-registered sometimes. Sour in the Rye w/ Kumquats and Saison Tonnellerie both also were issued approvals in July. I have no idea what it means, but I'd be shocked if Trois Poules was a mystery beer, and not the good kind of shocked. More the "so this is what it's like to watch a trainwreck as it happens" sort of shocked.

I assume that's intended as a Christmas time release so I doubt it'd be Mystery Beer #1. Maybe #2 but I hope not.

God I ******* hope it's not TPF.

Yah I realized that when I read in the email that DougOLis posted where it said "...blending competition held in November 2013..."

What was the deal with that? I don't remember. Was it a teaser about the upcoming year for HS and how "awesome" it was going to be?

what were the mystery beers last year, as i didn't have a membership? i think one of them was bottleworks 12 (which blew me away) but what was the other?

Yeah, pretty much. Looks like it was only for people who renewed:

Good Afternoon Hoarders!

We're excited to announce our first ever Hoarders Society Blending Session. Unfortunately, we only have space for 50 members, so we'll be holding a raffle to determine who can participate. To enter the drawing, you'll need to "purchase" the FREE item onwww.TheBrueryStore.com anytime between 10/28-11/1.

Since this blending session is to decide a beer that will be released in 2014, only members who have renewed for 2014 may enter the drawing. Winners will be notified on 11/4.

If you win the raffle, then you win entry to this free blending session! Upon arrival, members will be split into small teams. Each team will receive an array of barrel-aged and non-barrel-aged beers to blend as they see fit.

We will provide general guidelines regarding what ratio of certain beers may be used in the final blend. A panel of judges will select the best blend, and that will be released to the the 2014 Hoarders Society!
We will provide the blending beers, palate cleansing snacks, water, note-taking supplies, a few coffee presses (in case you'd like to cold press additional ingredients such as coffee, fruit or spices), and some tasty snacks for afterwards. We will not be providing any of the extra ingredients for the press infusions, so if you're feeling adventurous, you're welcome to put your creativity to the test and bring your own ingredients to the event. Please keep in mind that the ingredients you supply must be available for us to order in large quantities if chose for the winning blend.
Date: Sunday, November 17th
Time: 2pm - 5pm
Location: 1174 N. Grove Street, Anaheim, Ca, 92806
Cost: Free!

Tickets are not transferable and may not be shared.

We hope to see you there!
Cheers,
The Bruery

They have a pretty good track record as far as "mystery beers" are concerned. White Chocolate, Grey Monday, and the re-releases of Bottleworks XII and The Wanderer were all mystery beers. If one of the mystery beers is a "re-issue," I'd wager Dirty Beaver Juice Weekend or Cherry Chocolate Rain. As for the second one, I really hope it's some brand new beer that blows our socks off. I'll be irritated if one of the mystery beers is Wineification, since that is actually replacing Mardi Rouge (or is Mardi Rouge). If that happened we'd basically be offered one fewer hoarder exclusive this year.

Did they have a mystery beer back in 2011?
