All brewed up yesterday and fermenting nicely this morning. I wanted to go for an Irish Red type base beer with plenty of Topaz hops, because I've got an APA on tap already.
Not many pics as my boiler started shorting out and I got pissed off =D>
Recorded 66c mash temp, 1.050 post boil OG, I will liquor back a little lower so I get more beer.
The topaz hops smell lovely. They have a real fruity smell when going in, orangey/citrusy/tropical. I'll be dry hopping too, so should have a pretty good idea of how they taste in a few weeks.
Cheers!
