Well, more like postponed I guess. :(

I was planning on brewing a black IPA but the winds are pretty bad here (outside Boulder, CO). I really struggle with keeping mash temps consistent and with some of the big gusts the boil is unpredictable, too. Just not worth the aggravation and I don't feel like trying to move into my garage.

Days like this is when I wish I was an indoor eBIAB brewer!

Oh well, at least I have time to drive to my local and buy some stuff for a pilsner I want to brew at the end of the week. :ban:

We have a lot of wind here in eastern Washington, and it really sucks to try and brew on those days. I've been able to adapt a little, but occasionally it'll put a halt to brewday and that's lame.

Strong username - post correlation.

My sister and brother in law lives in Denver now and other relatives in Parker. To bad it canceled your brew day. I also brew outside and I am at the mercy of the weather also. Looks like "Murphy's Law" kicked in but you made the best of it and got some items for your next brew. That's a pretty cool save in my book!

Just back from the home brew store. Always a good time spending money there! Seems like there is always something you can do with this hobby.

My original intent was to brew on Saturday but forgot to make my starter so I pushed it to Sunday. My wife had to make an unexpected trip to FL to see her dad so I pushed it to Monday. Tuesday should be fine!

I may call this Push the Calendar IPA

Having a garage to brew in sure is nice! Can't imagine trying to brew in the wind we had (Longmont) last weekend.

+2 on the garage. I love that I have a full shop to utilize!

I may convert the "3rd car" slot to a brewery some day but for now I enjoy brewing outdoors, especially on a nice crisp day. Weather looks good today so I'll head out when it warms up some and fire up the burner!

I see my self reading some beer book while enjoying a cigar and a cup of Kona coffee and keeping an eye on boil over here pretty soon!!

:mug:

I enjoy brewing outdoors, especially when someone walks by and asks what I'm cooking. When I say "beer", I love to see the look on their face.

My new neighbor yelled over the fence the other say, "what the hell are you doing?".

He just moved in so I told him I was cooking meth! :p

Yeah, well try brewing in a hurricane!

What am I saying... I can brew indoors also.

But hurricane Matthew did crimp the style of a lot of the southeastern US coast last week.
