Hey everyone. My name is Billy and I'm in the Air Force. I am currently in Iraq and have been for the past 7 months. I should be getting back home in about a month and I want to start home brewing. So, I figured I should learn something about it first! I will have tons of silly questions so bare with me. Thanks y'all:mug:

Welcome Billy. I'm in the Navy myself, I have alot of respect for you guys who actually have to go over there. Keep safe.

I highly recommend the following steps

Read the free version of How to Brew www.howtobrew.com
Also look at the home brewing wiki on this site.

Feel free to post your home location when you get there, not because we are psycho stalkers, but because there are probably some brewers in your area who can give you the down low on local suppliers, etc...

Depending on how it goes for you, you might find yourself in the midst of a very addicting and exciting hobby.

I can't think of a more perfect time to begin homebrewing than post-deployment downtime. Nor can I come up with a better way to celebrate coming home!

You picked the right place to start asking questions - fire away!
