Title says it all. I just purchased Brewers Friend mobile and was wondering if was worth getting Brewsmith mobile? I should of liked more into which is better before buying but I got excited!

Does Beersmith allow for recipe creations other than just beer? I am doing a hard cider and brewers friend doesn't allow for apple juice to be added preset to help with OG and all.

brewers friend has a beta version app for windows thats free! I've been using that and its excellent. Couple small glitches but nothing too serious.

Technically, no, it does not. And I really wish it would, but there are ways to input recipes other than beer because it allows you to customize ingredients. You might have to disregard the OG, IBU, etc etc and use the notes sections for better clarification on the processes for certain things. Of the 60 or so recipes I have stored in Beersmith right now, 4 of them are sodas and 2-3 are ciders. Beersmith does allow for customization of ingredients and there are certainly ways to get in the ballpark for ciders, but it does take some work.

I use Brewers Friend and am very pleased with it. being web based I can bring it up on any device with web access so I can use it anytime I want or need it.

I purchased Brewer's Friend recently also, and I'm pretty disappointed because it turns out some of its calculators are not accurate:

I attempted to contact Brewer's Friend last week to see if they could clear up the discrepancy, but they did not respond. I'm pretty disappointed and feel like I wasted $15. To be honest I think the best route is probably to learn how to use some of the free calculators that are available and which have been verified to produce correct results.

Those posts/issues are being looked at by the developer, and that takes time.

Beersmith mobile is a trimmed down version of the computer program thus far. A lot of features of the computer program are missing on the mobile app. I would use what you have or get the computer version of Beersmith. I don't really think you need both unless you are not happy with what you already have.
