Does anyone use heat prior to bottling to sanitize them. I was thinking of putting the through the dishwasher on high.

I have... No issues. Plus if I put the bottling bucket above the washer and use the open door as a work surface, makes the whole bottling operation super clean and efficient.

+1 as long as they have been cleaned, this will sanitize them. So will the oven.

The only problem is hte soap and jet dry will leave a film in the bottles that will kill the head

I always put my bottles in the dishwasher. I select hi temp wash, hi temp rinse, and heated dry without any soap at all. I have never had a problem with anything.
