Just put my first dunkel into primary last night. I did some searching to try and answer this without much luck. What are yall's recommendations?

Should I bottle condition or forcecarb my dunkel?

I'd prefer the ease of kegging/force carb then bottling some, but i think bottle conditioning is more to style. Recipe called for adding wheat extract to bottle condition. Will there be much a difference between the two?

You can do either, I have done both. The benefit to bottle conditioning is you get a 1-beer sized amount of yeast sediment on the bottom of the bottle/glass.

If you are really concerned about this, just shake the keg every day. =)

So not much of a taste difference except for that imparted by yeast sediment?

I've never seen a cloudy dunkel while in Munich... not sure why they say to add wheat. From what I know, there is no wheat in a dunkel.

You are right, I just assumed Dunkelweizen because of the wheat. Are you talking about a Bavarian Dunkel, or a Dunkelweizen?
