Are there any capper brand you could recommend? I see there are infinite on amazon but I don't want a piece of junk or to support amazon, either. Does it matter what kind of caps I get?
Okay, I appreciate the help. Would the oxygen caps be fine for wine also?I have one of these, and I like it SO much better than the "wing" capper I had at first. I use oxygen absorbing/scavenging caps on all my brews.
Thats good advice. As far as needs or desires I would like something that out lives me. You know, the way things used to be made?Depends on your needs and budget. If your a vintner as well as brewer then a ferrari floor/bench corker/capper would work great. If your looking for cheap then the morebeer emily capper is pretty decent. Suggest you read the reviews on homebrew sites as opposed to amazon.
bless your heart, thank you.Something like what the Agata that 3Dawg posted or this will last for years

That looks pretty nice. Do you have it bolt mounted to a surface?I have and would recommend this capper.

I mostly keg, but will bottle a few too. Didn't want to break the bank for something that doesn't get a lot of work.
Not yet. Though I did buy a small cutting board with a drip edge with intentions to secure it. Just haven't done it yet. That looks pretty nice. Do you have it bolt mounted to a surface?
Is it actually necessary or just more convenient? Not yet. Though I did buy a small cutting board with a drip edge with intentions to secure it. Just haven't done it yet.
Definitely not necessary. I use mine straight on my work bench, not bolted down to anything. Works great! Is it actually necessary or just more convenient?
Convenient for some base stability as it is a little top heavy. Also makes cleanup easy if you spill a little. Is it actually necessary or just more convenient?
I have that capper as well, works great lasts long timeI have one of these, and I like it SO much better than the "wing" capper I had at first. I use oxygen absorbing/scavenging caps on all my brews.
