Anyone recommend good seafood spots that won't break the bank?

How big is the bank?

^that's a good question. Really depends on your budget but some suggestions (in approx lowest to highest priced): Legal Harborside, Daily Catch, Select, Row 34, Neptune, B&G, Island Creek, Ostra, Mare. It's been a while since I've been to most of these so prices could vary a lot though. Personal favorite is either Row 34 or B&G.

That's a completely different story... James Hook and Luke's Lobster are the only ones that come to mind besides a food truck I don't remember the name of.

Yeah there aren't too many of those in city proper. You're more likely to find those in the beach and coastal towns, like Belle Isle Seafood in Winthrop.

I admittedly have no clue if any other events will have ducks, but Stoddard's has another collab tap takeover tomorrow. So maybe then?

Let's assume one was coming into town for CBC in September and wanted to try Tree House. Now that they've pulled out of CBC, would I be correct in assuming that trying Tree House either means a drive to the middle of nowhere, or setting up an IP trade?

Yup pretty much. I assume that weekend would be insane at TH though with all the people arriving in the city.

That is likewise my assumption. So I guess I'll simply continue to remain ignorant of Tree House, unless by some miracle they send some down to a bar or two in Boston for the occasion, which would seem possibly, since they used to have some distro within Boston, no?

It's really not a bad drive from the city and if you go in the afternoon most of the beards that got there with sleeping bags the night before will be gone. I doubt you'll have too much trouble at like 1-2pm

At least as my plans exist now, I'll be in town from Thursday through Tuesday only, so it doesn't look as though I'll be able to swing that. But I do appreciate the input.

No. My recollection is that they have sent kegs into Boston exactly one time, for an event at Row 34. Perhaps it has happened more than once, but they never "used to have some distro within Boston" in a general sense. I would be totally shocked if that happened for CBC.

Not a beer question as such, but I'm guessing there are a few people in here who might have an opinion one way or the other.

For the longest time, the burger I always heard was the best in town came from Alden & Harlow. Recently it has been suggested to me that Craigie on Main actually makes a better burger. Assuming one was going to make time to try one of the two on a visit to Boston, which is better?

Problem with Alden is that they only make a limited amount so you have to get there at opening (5pm). It's made with short rib/brisket patty, a cheddar crisp and a house made brioche. Srs, one of the best things I've tasted, worth getting there before 5:30.

I was at seaport storage last week which is also a u-haul rental place https://goo.gl/maps/RgQmqUo3MTS2 (about a mile from Trillium). I saw they at least had one styro-shipper on a shelf there and a bunch of single bottle boxes. It might've been a 12; probably want to call first.

ok so back from boston. was not able to find a uhaul that had any styros in stock. when calling, it makes it faster just to ask for WSKIT12, but either way, all 4 locations i called did not have them in stock. even when the website said they did, the floor person checked and couldn't find any.

i actually went to a total wine. they didn't have bottle shippers for sale, but apparently that total wine ships a ton of wine/beer so they have tons of shippers in back, they're just not for sale. i begged the manager and he gave me a 12 bottle shipper. so that might be an option for you guys (it was a carton shipper though)
