Need to go get bottles to ship to multiple admins of this site who happened to both hit on the super bowl squares. I'll probably be there/Row34 on Friday if you guys are around for a beer
I'll probably be there around 5, need to grab N&D and Sleeper.

I'll be there tomorrow, also picking up beers for Superbowl squares winners.

Damn PM Dawn is also this weekend. Guess I'll be stopping by and grabbing everything on Sat then.

Just saw CBC Belmont tweeted they got Night and Day. I feel like this one is going to sell out quick over the next few days.

If I am not living here when the Olympics happen in Boston, I will fly back just to drive around and be amused at how the visitors handle our roads and driving customs.

Driving around Boston/MA is like riding a bicycle: you won't forget how even if you don't do it for a while

Driving around Boston/MA is like riding a bicycle: you won't forget how even if you don't do it for a while even if you do it perfectly, if you do it for long enough some ******* IS going to drive right ******* into you, then scream at you about how its your fault

Were all the metered spots plowed into snow banks? Was going to run down there today before HevvyMetalHippie's assessment.
Some parking was still under snow yesterday but I ride my bike so I dont take much notice over the whole neighborhood. I would have someone loop around while you hop out, if you can.

The garage is like a couple bucks more than taking the train there and back so its not THAT bad.

Took a swing by the CBC last night for some Blunderbuss. Was a little underwhelmed by this year's version. Thought the finish was a little unbalanced; booze was pretty hot and hops were pretty bitter. Will need to take a look at the menu next time for some detail on this vintage...website says WLW barrels used.

I've always felt that putting the door on the other side of the Fort Point retail shop would solve almost every problem that space has. It wouldn't fix the big lines, but it would make so much more sense considering that there's about 1/4 of the retail space available for inside waiting and 3/4's that are barely used.

I haven't been in a while and it does sound like things are flowing better there now that they have more bottles regularly available, but I still never quite understood why that door just wasn't down at the other side of the retail space.

I am a bit nonplussed that this post does not seem to suggest any changes to the Fort Point retail shop. Has always felt very temporary to me and very jury rigged. I hope they can reclaim a few sq feet somehow and make it a bit bigger, but reading this post I kinda doubt it.

The taproom and back part are sort of separated and on different levels, might be hard to combine it better. AFAIK they don't own the property, either, so they may not be allowed to just do whatever they want to the space (just speculation).

yep, there are some serious structural limitations to the retail situation...the door is where it is b/c we couldn't put the door under the fire escape. and not exactly ideal to have the stairs that go up the production floor directly across from the retail entrance door either, but that's the only area we had that provided enough clearance on both sides. super old building...no sewer or water on this side of the building and 90% of the SF of the 1st floor is up ~3ft/loading dock height from the retail floor level. and that's 3ft of reinforced concrete, which is why the retail shop isn't on Congress St. vs. the alley...this is the only area in the building that's at street grade. actually a little lower than at grade, we had to build that up a few inches higher than the storm drain. plus put in a narrow 'sidewalk' to keep the retail shop from flooding. the 3ft of reinforced concrete is effectively the footings for the whole building, so...that's what we had to deal with when we did the original build out. we struggle w/ the less than ideal conditions every day, but I think our process and team handles the lines and crowds as best we can to keep waits to a very bare minimum. we are always brainstorming ways to improve things, so if you have any suggestions, i'm def all ears...shoot me a message: [email protected]
