Blow off tube question

My first brew is in the carboy with a blow off tube into my bottling bucket that has a starsan mixture in it. I am getting a lot of "burping" from the blow off tube into the bucket and I was wondering how long to leave it in before putting in my airlock. I was planning on removing it tomorrow night which would be just over 48 hrs.

You don't have to take it off at all.

If you do take it off wait until the frequency of the bubbling slows down a bit. Then you can be fairly assured that the height of the krausen has already hit it's maximum.

I leave on until time to take gravity reading

I leave a blow off on till I bottle. There is no problem with just leaving it on.
