Did a black IPA partial last Sunday

OG of 1048 or so

Was hopped with Cascade and Galaxy

Ferm has slowed down a good bit after 4-5 days so am considering racking to a secondary and dry hopping

Have Cascade and Simcoe so if anybody has any advice on amounts and time to leave them in there it would be great :)

Personally, I'd probably use them both because you have other hop flavors going on. An ounce of each should give you a nice bouquet, or 2 oz total. I've used up to 7 oz to dry hop, but that was a beer that would fill up the room with hoppy goodness. If you drink it fresh, 2 oz should be good per 5 Gal. :rockin:

Enjoy

Just made a black IPA myself recently, which I also dry hopped. I would not dry hop any longer than a week for best results. Do it at the end of your secondary. Mine was 1 oz Citra and 1 oz Centennial for 5 gallons. So maybe 1 oz of each of yours (agreeing with homebrewdr).

I think I'll transfer on Sunday (a week in primary) and then maybe keg next Saturday.

May just be ready in time for Super Bowl Sunday:D
