I just recently decided to make the jump to AG and I purchased an electric BIABasket system. Are there any tips on cleaning out grain basket and hop basket? I've brewed twice on it and that appears to be the biggest pain in the butt with this system. I've tried spraying it from the out side, letting it soak in PBW and dumping the grain out and letting the residual grain dry out to varying degrees of success. Thanks in advance

As soon as I am done mashing I dump out the grains and take it outside and spray it down with a hose. It seems to work fine as the basket is clean after spraying down. The hop basket is another thing I spray it down in the sink and then soak it in pbw for hours even over nite and then scrubbing with a brush but it does not come out very clean. Even tried using a butane torch to burn off residue.

Spray it down with a hose and if theres some leftover dry grains in the crevices, oh well! You won't notice a thing on the next batch

I use hop socks in lieu of the spider

Toss when done and no clean up needed

I turn it inside out and rinse off a little bit. Then I put it the washer the next time we are doing laundry. Been doing this for over 100 batches and never had a problem. Comes out clean and if I throw it in with the whites, I bleach it too.
