I have been using nylon for brewing BIAB style. I find the nylon is difficult to clean for re-use. Do others find the voille bags (or other types of bags) easy to clean or is this a downside to BIAB? All in all, I still love BIAB.
Thanks

Plyester voile seems to rinse easily. Some specks of gran and husks cling to the bag, but a quick shake outside and it's clean. I would say easy clean up, I have never considered putting the bag in the washing mashine as some do?

I find them very easy to clean. First I rinse off the big grain particles in the sink then I throw the bag into the washing machine on gentle cycle then hang to dry. Works like a champ.

I rinse off the large clumps of grains left in the bag immediately after emptying. Then I put the bag on a towel and let it air-dry. Once it's dry, it will shake completely clean.

I soak mine in a bleach solution every 3-4 brews to keep'em white but as the others have said . . . air dry and shake.

Oh, don't let the grain sit in the bag; dump, rinse and dry while boiling.

Just get the grain out spray off the most grain as you can with a hose and let it dry. Once it dries the left over grain will fall right off with little effort.

I spray all the grain I can off the bag then machine wash on gentle. Air dry.

Here's what I do, rinse out the bag in coldest water within 1 hr after use (usually during the boil) after that wash it in the washing machine here's the thing! (((use oxy-clean Free & Clear in COLD water only very simple and easy)))

Holy thread necro...nylon bags are much coarser and grain particles get stuck in the mesh. Polyester voile fabric is a very tight weave and grain rinses off very easily.

I just run it under the faucet and kinda "bat wing" it, rinsing section by section. Then it hangs in the spare shower till brew day. It's brown now but that don't bother me.
