I love music. I may actually perish without it.

I'm always looking for something new. Share the name of a song by the best artist (individual or group) that you think very few people really know about.

Mine is by a local favorite Charlie Parr "1922"

I caught this song one night while listening to the Alternative Radio station on my cable provider's "radio" stations. I fell in love with it and am always pushing this band on others.

Blitzen Trappen - Furr

I defy you to listen to this song on your car radio and not roll the windows down (weather permitting) and drive fast.

The Gaslight Anthem - The '59 Sound

This is the song I sing my son to sleep with:

yes! Jonah is awesome and super down-to-earth. Did you hear that Far is back together? Crazy...

I actually saw him perform because a friend of mine invited me along to a concert at Cafe Du Nord in San Francisco years ago. I didn't know exactly who we were going to see that night and it turned out to be a great show.

Unless you live near San Antonio, you probably don't know Ruben V, but he is an amazing guitarist and singer/songwriter. My favorite of his original songs is called Close the door, but I can't find a copy of it online, so here he is covering Hendrix's Voodoo Chile (Slight Return). Sorry the sound quality is not that great, but if you're ever in San Antonio, I highly suggest finding and going to see him. You will thank me, I promise.

I would doubt that many people here have heard of Dillinger Four...but this band rocks my face off.

Good old fashioned punk rock, the way mom used to make. I always get a little swell of the chest when that last verse drops... Go see one of their shows. It'll change your life.

+1

I don't think they they are East Texas and the band is no longer together, but I love these guys. (Sorry about the quality, just hard to find a good example).

Sexy Electric rock violinist Anna Phoebe. You need to see her live. I seen her when she toured with TSO but now is on her own playing in Europe. Hold on tight.
