Too hard to pick only 5. Just about all good except Moonraker.

One of my favorite quotes from Sg GW Peppah "he's one of them English secret agents from England".

I have a soft spot for Man With the Golden Gun and Diamonds Are Forever. The scene in the dojo and the two gay hit men crack me up.

Casino Royale, Dr. No and Goldfinger are the best movies overall.

I think From Russia With Love is overrated. About 90 minutes in the plot becomes so convoluted that I have no idea what happened despite seeing it about 5 times.

Quantum of Solace and the one with Denise Richards are the worst. The plots were so ridiculous that I have no idea what happened in them, nor were they interesting enough for me to care.

Halle berry

Nowhere near enough to overcome that horrible movie.
Olga Kurylenko on the other hand made Quantum of Solace easier to watch.

New bonds are not Bond!!! Bond is only Sean Connery and Roger Moore!

The thing that is so badass about true James Bond is that it was possible for a man to do the things that Bond did although he would have to be highly highly skilled but the things he did were possible.... The new Bond movies are painful to watch! To eject out of an airplane and grab the canopy on the way down and then hit the deep pitched face of a snowbank and start snowboarding down a mountain is just ridiculous, And stuff like that is what you see in new Bond films...

Octo*****, For your eyes only,, Dr. No, Goldfinger and Diamonds are forever! (I know that's five, Can't help it)

NOW THAT'S BOND!
:mug:

Casino Royale (2006)
Goldfinger
Thunderball
Diamonds Are Forever ("If man was meant to fly")
Skyfall

I really liked Quantum of Solace, but I always have viewed green initiatives and groups as evil anyways, so it was good to see them portrayed as one. Except for the exploding fuel cells from an engineering view. The entire plot to secure water rights from the government was one of the best evil plans from any of the Bond films.

I personally never cared for Roger Moore as Bond.

Casino Royale (1954) and Casino Royale (1967) IMO are unwatchable, although not as much as MoonRaker.

I really enjoyed Goldeneye and Tomorrow Never Dies, but maybe that's because it's right when N64 Goldeneye came out.

Badger - I do agree that the more ridiculous stunts get old, I think the Daniel Craig ones try to make him human again, which I appreciate. I still want more cunning wit from Craig though.

Skyfall wasn't as "entertaining" as some Bond movies, but it does get me really excited for where the next few are headed.

I've really liked the Daniel Craig movies, mostly because I think they've gotten back to the original feel of the Bond movies, to a certain degree. Especially in that there are fewer unbelievable stunts and events. That's what I hated most from the previous movies, they started getting fantastical, instead of just amazing.

To refresh my memory on what Bond used to be, and to introduce the man to my young (13yo) daughter, we've rented the first 5 Bond movies on DVD and will begin watching them as we can find time. I will refrain from listing my favorites until I am certain of my choices.

But i will say that I am starting to really appreciate Craig's role as he shows he is human and still bad ass at the same time. And he's still far away from being blown up by a nuclear bomb and climbing out of a lead-lined refrigerator.. Oh wait, that was Indiana Jones. My bad.

I think the most recent one, Skyfall, was the best.

Followed by, Goldfinger, From Russia With Love, Dr. No, and I'll save my last choice (not necessarily 5th place) for a future Daniel Craig movie yet to be released.
