Beer yeast Vs Wine yeast

Hello Peeps
Is it necessary to use a beer brewing yeast for fermenting a beer wort or the same can be achieved if we ferment beer wort with a wine yeast?
Sorry feeling confused after online sellers selling brewing yeast with different names.
 
Beer (ale / lager) yeast has been selected to be able to digest maltose and other higher sugars. If you use wine yeast, your beer will have higher levels of those sugars and end up sweeter and less alcoholic.

I am not that familiar with brewing wine, mead, cider, etc. but, yeah, there seems to be a lot more yeasts solid for brewing beer than for other beverages.

What style of beer are you thinking of making? I am sure somebody here could give you some direction on a good yeast to start off with. Do you have access to both dry and liquid yeast?

Looking forward for a wheat ale as ale yeast is more suitable to a temperature where I live.
So far research shows looks like I have access to dry beer yeast.

not possibly, definitely....

i find wine yeast gives a cleaner ferment, which in my case using gluco to go dry, kinda makes for a watery 1.000 beer. but if you're not adding gluco, might be like a warm fermented lager kinda thing?

edit: i've only used premiere blanc.
