I am curious of others personal experiences with the different sensory training kits available; AHA's "The Enthusiast(tm) Beer Taste Troubleshooting Kit" and Siebal Institute's "Basic Sensory Training Kit" & "Sensory Training Kit".

Does one kit do a better job of focusing on off flavors then another?

I might suggest just making up your own. About halfway down the official BJCP study guide, you'll find a table for mixing up your own "off flavor" kit. Here's the link: BJCP Exam Study Guide

Keep scrolling down, there's a BJCP exam study guide about 2/3rds of the way down with a table that's labeled, "Guidelines for Doctoring Beers" which is designed to help people train to identify off flavors.
