Beer Engine Sparkler Thread Match

I'm trying to build my own beer engine to save money. Although "real ale" doesn't use a sparkler, I like the idea of having one for a creamy foamy head for a hand-pumped stout.

Does anyone know what a thread match would be for a barbed fitting, if there even is any? So far, the only pictures I see are of the sparkler attaching to a swan neck, which isn't going to work for my hand pump.

They have a brass setup, which I can eventually try, but was hoping to use the plastic sparkler just so I don't have a chunk of brass dangling around clinking the glass. I've tried Home Depot for thread matches, but am not finding anything that works.

Any other suggestions of how to attach the sparkler to a water hand pump as shown here https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000BGM2XG/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20 ?

After much research, I'm pretty sure this is a 5/8" 26 threads-per-inch fitting. This comes from the specs of this handpump extension spout and also matches measurements from my own handpump's thread. This is a very obscure thread and seems to be a BSB (British Standard Brass) fitting. I'm trying to bodge together such a DIY handpump that will work for my brother in the US and if we get it working I'll update this thread further.

A very late addition to this thread but will hopefully be of use to someone.

I did the same basic build as the DIY beer engine from BYO before I “upgraded” to a real beer engine. I followed it essentially word for word using a length of tubing between the RV pump and the brass fitting/sparkler. It worked great, though I had to work the sparkler into the fitting just a tiny bit. I didn’t have any issues with the brass piece clinking onto the glass at all fwiw.

Also you can absolutely use a sparkler with real ale and this is very traditional in parts of the UK!

Cool, good to know it works. I'm from the UK (in the North where we use a sparkler, unlike the South). I wanted to post the sparkler thread spec for the OP (and others) as this information has been very hard to un-earth. Posting a beer engine to the US from here would be £100 so trying to devise a cheaper solution for my cask-starved US-based brother...
