Beer catagory competition help

I'm going to enter a couple beers in a competition. A heather ale and a RIS.

I'm thinking the heather ale would go in the Spiced Beer catagory (as opposed to specialty beer).

The RIS has 8 oz of bourbon in it (per 5 gal). Do you think I should still enter it in the RIS catagory, or in the Spieced/herb/vegetable catagory, or the Specialy Beer catagory?

Not sure about the heather. The RIS? If you can taste it it's a specialty beer, and the judges need to know it's in there to judge it properly. Cheers!!!
