Beating a "Dead Guy Ale" horse

I know there's been other threads about the rouge dead guy ale extract kit, but I'm not finding the answer I'm looking for. My buddy bought a craft beer USA kit and it's instructions are...pathetic to say the least.

I've figured out most of the recipe on my own, but it came with something called brewers crystals...I assume it's some sort of sugar, but don't know when to add it.

Any help would be appreciated...we're brewing tomorrow night

It's just another name for sugar of some type. I would add them to the last 15-20 minutes of the boil. Make sure you stir constantly and add slowly to avoid scorching on bottom.
