Could have been that. It's been a while since I heard the story. He camped out at toranado to buy some beer for $50+. I thought it was Cable Car, but T25 would make more sense.
I don't see why it has to be only one. He's camped out for T-25, T-26, City Beer's most recent anniversary, and Mikkellerbar's opening that I'm aware of. Oh, and T-26 was kind of "great", he actually changed his flights for a trip to Belgium to go to it.

LOL he planned a trip to belgium during a release? What a n00b.

BevMo in SF was one bottle per customer. Various Whole Foods have it with no limit, but some store were keeping it in the back. So ask.

A shitload of Beatification will be onsale on the 14th. Get your gopickitupformebros set up.

Behind Door #2... We are releasing the next batch of Beatification, our 100% spontaneously fermented barrel-aged sour beer ,or "Sonambic", on Saturday, December 14th! As you can see in the video we have just over 1,000 cases available! Beatification is a brewpub only release and will also be available on draft- yum! There will be a limit of 12 bottles per person at $18/bottle. A case of Beatification would look great under the Christmas tree! We will open at 9am that morning and have 2 options for our guests: there will be an area just for bottle sales if you want to get in and go. And anyone desiring a breakfast beer is welcome to join us in the pub. Hopefully lots of people will come out for this release so be prepared to wait for a bit. Vinnie and I will be there to personally wish you all Happy Holidays!

So either the waitress I talked to a month ago was full of **** or they were just plain lying to people when she told me bottles wouldn't be ready for another year.

Vinnie had said he was shooting for a Dec/Jan release when I cornered him at the FfaC opening night party. Unless you're hearing it directly from him or Natalie, it seems one needs to take everything told to you at RR with a couple shakers of salt.

That's true. It's just disappointing that they would tell a regular that. Not that I'm anyone special, but I would expect to not be fed ********.

Nah, I'd just rather they get their story straight.
Alternatively, you could guess that the waitress probably knows as much as you do about RR's barrel program, and that she may have been giving you her best guess, and trusting her best guess to be accurate was not the best idea ever.

Russian River is pretty small employee wise, and all the employee's are very in tune to what's going on there. I don't think it was unreasonable for me to believe this information from a waitress who has worked there for years.

From literally everything I've heard the restaurant employees are basically clueless.

Hmm. The interactions I've had with them don't bear that out, but I'm sure some of them are clueless. Was just surprised who the clueless one turned out to be.

Well, you're up there, so maybe you've had some good ones, but I've literally never heard of scuttlebutt from an RR restaurant employee that wasn't completely false. Brewery employees? Maybe they know what's going on. The waitstaff really don't seem to.

One of the waiters swore up and down a couple of years ago that Compunction was going to be bottled. They really don't know anything. They're simply focused on being (sort-of) good waitstaff, not catering to beer geeks.

That would have given me such a boner.
Prepare to get a boner:
