I'm not sure, I know from when they had parabola I got an email and purchased 2 bottles in the am. One guy bought the rest of their only case before the store even opened. He wasn't even from Oakland, according to the guy I know there.

My guess is only a few ppl got any.

Edit: Over on BA, one guy said he bought three 4 pks, so I think its safe to say most 4~5 ppl took it all.

Was there a limit or did possibly 4 people buy a case each?
I guess Bevmo didn't get the hold til Friday memo...
That one BevMo didn't, but most did. And if BevMos aren't going to set limits, people are going to buy cases. That's how this always goes with the **** they get.

Yo fellas, SoCal beer geek displaced to NorCal for the time being. I wanted to introduce myself and say I hope I run into to folks around the Bay Area beer destinations. Also, I look forward to saying "All your BCBS are belong to me!" tomorrow. But really a 4pk of the BCBBW will do.

The Bevmo's in SF city had the BCBS, and were selling it to employees this week, this I know. But will "release" it tomorrow officially. I'll be in the Southbay tracking it down. Happy hunting everyone!

Any chance that they sell the Rare/Vanilla for on-premise only, and for $100 each. I think I'd like to see the butthurt that would create.
They apparently have like 4 bottles of each. The best part? They're apparently supposed to be on-site only and CBS is just not listening to their marching orders. Oh CBS, how we love you.

If it's CBS' call then, they'll be over $100. Good choice Goose Island.

I just drove to the nearest BevMo, bought a case of BCBS ($158.20 with tax), and drove back home in about 20 minutes.

I like easy.

same. carried it to work in my backpack on my bike.

was hoping for backyard or at least coffee, but regular ol' ho-hum BCBS will just have to do.

/sarcasm

Apparently Chussain is like 30th in line!
He WAS 30th in line - but in true patented Chooch fashion, he managed to slime his way to the front of the line soon enough. And CBS must've had more of the vintage bottles than previously suspected - I was about 25 or so people back, and I still got a Vanilla.

(Didn't see what sort of weaponry he was toting this time around.)

Actually, all of the vintage beers were sold to go at their original MSRP. I think it was a case of Rare for $50 per bottle. Not sure on the volumes of the others, but they were $20 each.

I showed up at 10, and got two four-packs of regular and one of barleywine within 30 minutes. They ran out of coffee 4-packs just before I got the counter. Pretty seamless, and all 4-packs were $20 each, which is a totally reasonable price. Bramble was gone long before I arrived, but I wasn't interested in it anyway. Spending $20 for one bomber of medicine beer or a 4-pack of BCBS is a pretty easy choice.

haveuseenmycellar, on the other hand, was walking in and out the front door with an open bottle of Cascade Elderberry, which the staff nearly made him pour out, which would have been amazing. They were PISSED, as that's a major violation of their license and could have gotten them a gigantic fine.

Russian River is ******* insane today. I'm here for my friends birthday, and I'm glad that we got here early because there's a line out front now.

Guess people have some drinking they need to do after the holiday.

Reasonable prices at City Beer Store and HaveUSeenMyCellar not getting his comeuppance? Boo this post.

This picture is floating around Facebook -- apparently he had another run-in with a parking enforcement officer. Excuse me. "Enforthment offither."

Is there a story to accompany this picture?

I was at the GI event at City Beer on Thursday, was number 8 in line when I got there. That guy in Arbitrator's picture (talking to the cop car) walked up to the front of the line while talking to some GI reps and started sharing some beers with the first 5-6 guys. He stayed there until the end and ended up with a bottle of rare.... I, and the people behind me, were pretty pissed.

Everyone remembers their first encounter with Chussain.

Luckily, my only encounter with Chussain was at DDG where there was no real line, he did have what looked like a planned murder scene in the back of his car though, **** was covered in plastic. I think I heard he cut line at Churchills after that though. I can't wait until Beatification to get the full Chussain experience.

He did cut at Churchill's but there was no reason to. Just more proof that he's a ******* *********.
