I lined up at the asscrack of dawn with the neckbeards at City Beer this morning, and although I eagerly awaited the expected HUSMC sighting, I was sorely disappointed. Wonder if he flew to Chicago to cut lines in the varsity league this time around. Got 2 4-packs of regular, coffee, barleywine, and 1 bottle of vanilla, plus a glass, a poster that I suppose someone'll want somewhere, and a bag of Intelligentsia coffee. They richly earn mockery in so many other respects, but I'll admit that City Beer has handled the last 2 BCBS Black Friday events pretty well.

Tried to reserve a set at the redwood city store online (I'm in jersey with fam now). They said 17 left and the sale went through. Got a call shortly after from them informing me they had sold out a long time ago and that the website only updates daily. Hoping there will be something left somewhere on Monday.

I made some calls from my office at 11 am, and was shut out. The neckbeard frenzy not only wiped out the Peninsula BevMos, but also the East Bay BevMos and Whole Foods.

I'm frightened. This is like 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013 all over again, but WORSE.

Blammo, so good! Drinks like a Damn 7.8% abv (Hey buddy, let's be friends!), but its NOT your friend, especially the next day. Pretty coconut forward too. So good!

I'll be in the area (based in Novato) from ~12/21 to 1/5, and plan to hit a few breweries. I'm not sure what I'll be bringing to share, but I'll have a couple things.

It would be great to meet up with some people. I have yet to visit the Rare Barrel, Faction, Beltane, Woodfour; and always try to hit up the standards.

Since you are staying on Novato, I STRONGLY suggest Taps in Petaluma and Beercraft in Rohnert Park. That's IF youa re headed north to RR at all. Also, RB is only open Fri-Sun. ANd I will assume you have been to Cellarmaker in SF. If not, that should be #1 on your list.

I'm in SD for like half the time but we can probably work something out. If you hit up RB on the 3rd/4th I can probably make it out.
