Heard from a homeboy that Russian River will now have Hopfather be a rotating tap a few times a year taking turns with Russian River IPA.

Looking forward to random growler fills if it's on whenever I go.
Nice. I went there Saturday and looks like I missed trying it by like two days.

Is anybody making the trip down to Barrelworks for their release next weekend? Thinking about bringing some bottles to share. Staying in Lompoc Friday night then Buellton on Saturday night. Let me know.

Not expecting anything crazy at all. Moreso trying to show an old friend who is into beer some WC stuff that is out. Maybe give her ideas of breweries she wants to look into, etc.

Lemme know if you make it down here. Def down to grab some drinks.

I'll be there @ the bistro. Lets do this

So dudes, Schubros just released their BA Quad "Riel" today. The beer is ******* good, and only $15 at the brewery for a 750. Pours of it are on $6 if on the fence, but it's ******* worth it, I didnt have high expectations , but was pleased.

Who?

Well, the BA fest was a lot of fun. SARA's Westly took 1st place.

Tim was there and said that it was the last keg of Westly in existence, and my understanding was that he wasn't going to make it again. So that was a real special treat for everyone.

I don't think a single keg blew throughout the whole fest.

And this year's BCBCS is ******* amazing.

Why not!!

Maybe I mis-heard him, but I did explicitly hear him say that the keg there was the last one in existence.

Now whether everyone around me was saying that he wasn't going to make it again, or if they just misinterpreted what he said, I honestly can't say. I wasn't paying full attention while he was talking.

So you can be sure that there are no more kegs of it, but I am not positive that it was Tim that said he wouldn't brew it ever again. This was simply what those around me were saying they heard...mind you we were all drunk, so not too sure how reliable that was..

In Monterey, and not likely to make it to SARA. Instead I have the pleasure (ahem) of time at Alvarado St. Tomorrow night I watch fish at The Aquarium and drink Heinekin( I will assume the beverage selection will be of this standard). Fun times.

I would be beyond shocked if they never made Westly again. It's too obvious to not do.

That is why I tried to make it clear in my post that I only heard the information about that being the last keg in existence.

I had a feeling that the information of it never being brewed again was incorrect...just didn't make sense..but then again there were other things afoot at the BA fest that seemed off.

EDIT: Do people get blacklisted from SARAs cellar membership if they trade off their member bottles?

No, Tim has said that they're okay with trading, only selling is a problem.

Might have run into my Holy Grail tonight, wearing a Rare Barrel top and talking to a SARA Member. Good times ahead? I tink so.

Peoples of SF, random question. Any chance any of you might live near cellarmaker and have a growler or 2 I can borrow until Sunday or Monday of next week? I'm in livermore for work and totally spaced my growlers at my house a few hours south. Want to fill a couple growlers but last thing I need is to buy more. I'll be back in the city sunday or Monday and could return them. Thinking about hopping the Dublin bart into the city in a few hours.

Not in Livermore currently, but if you're free tomorrow I can meet up since I'm 15 minutes away. Also check out Caps & Taps in Dublin. They should have some Cellarmaker stuff up.

Thanks Johnny, heading back home tomorrow afternoon, should have asked this question yesterday.

I've been at caps and taps the last 2 nights actually, cool spot. They have cellarmaker cascade pale up and had an ipa 2 nights ago. Wanting to grab a couple growlers of mo nelson for the weekend.

If I were to drive into the city, typically until what hour is the 580 going to be bitchy getting back out to livermore?

Today in the rain? HaaaaHaaaaa Have you any idea what the rain does to people on the roads around here? Last night was a complete clusterfuck, today it is raining harder. enjoy sitting in traffic. ;)

Or serious answer - 580 between Oakland and Highway 13 is usually a mess from 4 until 7ish from my experience. But there is not hard answer to your question, some nights it is fine other times a mess.

My plan is to bart, but per my original question a few posts up, spaced my growlers at my house a few hours south, if I drive I could stop by a friends place and grab a couple growlers. But...it's not worth the headache with the traffic. If I come in I'll just bart. Yeah I saw tha traffic last night near Dublin when it was only lightly raining.

Anybody know if Barrel Aged Espresso Stout is on at Lagunitas yet? I tried calling but you only get a recording and then it hands up on you.
