Scheduled a last minute flight to SF this morning for family business. As long as things stay how they are now regarding said biz:

If any TBers are free this evening, I get into SFO at 5:15 PM and plan to take BART to near City Hall so I can either go to Toronado or CBS/Cellarmaker. And Mikkeller if I want to spend a lot. Seems like it should take me ~40 to get to the BART station and another 40 to get downtown. So ~6:35 PM.

Or if someone wants a couple drinks on me, scoop me from SFO and we can go DT SF. PM me.

Cheers!
nice! if you're hitting up Cellarmaker, post here:

Anyone check out Barebottle in Bernal Heights yet?

Looks to have opened last week.

I like the nearby Harmonic and this is another good option in this part of the city.
Hit it up Thursday after making some stops in SF for work. Thought it was decent. Nothing really amazing, but all fine. Was pretty impressed by the beers at Old Bus, actually. Ferment.Drink.Repeat...I don't think I need to revisit.

After reading the linked article, seems good for all parties. Tony is using his newmoney status to let it rain on some "hyperlocal" spots. And he hooked up a long time friend, so the business he broke his back building can slowly expand and carry on after him.

Also, where the hell are my cans of Reality Czech!?!
**** that! Death and Taxes cans!

Relative to what though? First offerings or later?
Yeah, on the AMA thread, they said this year they are adding 2-3 times more fruit. It's noticeable too:

Excuse the ****** filters that I used to use on untappd, but the above is a previous vintage of Farmer's Reserve Blackberry and the bottom is this year's.

Above are the three vintages of Valley. Notice how the far right is way cloudier. That's this year's vintage.

The also bought commercial blenders, and are processing the fruit before adding it, which seems to add a lot more character.

I'm not going out of the way to buy any of their bottles (outside of blueberry, for obvious reasons if you know me), but I will grab their stuff on draft now if I see it.

I've still disliked just about everything they've made in the last couple years other than the Brettaville series, which is excellent and very overlooked.

Not super into hoppy sours.

The big thing about the new versions is that they don't all taste the same. So that's a plus. The base beers and funk are pretty much the same as they've been, so it's not dramatically different.

Other Almanac cans are better than this I hope?

Sadly, this is exactly what I expected.

At the Almanac beer dinner at O'Brien's we got the SF IPA, the Pils, and Dolores in terms of sampling the new beers that are getting canned. Granted they were keg pours but the SF IPA and Pils were both stellar IMO. I am so totally over hoppy beers brewed with a citrus fruit added, so I'm not entirely surprised by your review on that one. Pilsner had a very clean yet somewhat soft roundness if memory serves me well. Mostly comparing that to Heiress since I have 12oz of that probably 3-4 days a week :D
