GOD DAMN XELL PHONWS.....:)
I was unprepared.

This is the "star wars" of the next generation.

HOLY CRAP. I don't have words. This show is incredible. netflix streaming.

One of my all time favorites. Didn't last long enough but they stuck with the plan.
Blood and Chrome was supposed to be on but they've decide to cancel that one. Too bad. SciFi doesn't seem to draw big numbers. Reality crap does.

New one. Edward James Olmos (I assume he wasn't in the old one ;)) is a tour de force.....(that term seems douchey but it fits) and most of the other amazing characters are female.(Not that being female leaves them udndeserving of naming, but I don't know their names)

sorry to use so many parentheses (but I can't seem to stop)

Somebody else posted about BSG a few months back, I didn't even realize there was a "new" version. Downloaded and watched every episode, loved it. Hated to see it end :rockin:

Might have been meatyportion, in the "Good on Netflix" thread.

Honestly, I saw people comment, but figured BSG was a little "nerdy" lol.

i feel like a moron.

This one:

It is a little "nerdy" but with hot chics!

AH! If loving the frack out of that show makes me nerdy, so be it.

Hot chics.....

I am on episode S2 14.

The pres was definitely a dish in her day, and still has her moments.

The cylons seem the hottest, although the blond is not my type.

Starbuck is a little too boyish for me, although the fact that they made it to earth is proven by her ownership of that overpriced coffee shop.

Across the lightyears and hardships to sell chai lattes! Aint life funny.

When Starbuck grew her hair out on new Caprica that was pretty much as good as it gets for me. :D

Seriously though, great series. Wait until you get to the Final 5.

Just watched blade runner a week or so ago, forgot that olmos was in that too.

One of my favorite shows ever. Did get a little weird in the end but it was still good right through. Hated to see it end. Started watching the other show that is the beginning of BSG but didn't get very far. It's about how the first cylon was made/born, etc.

Olmos is the baddest badass since Eastwood IMO.

I loved that show too. Started watching it just after season two had first started to come out. Been a huge fan ever since. Even my wife who doesn't like Sci Fi type shows liked it (until the end when things started to drag on and get weird). In fact, she's never finished the series so she has no reason to hate the show...

I had a spinal tap done last year and watched through the entirety of BSG during the week I was at home waiting for my back to seal back up. On another note, in an episode of Eureka, someone uses fracking. My wife instantly recognized it and then realized that I am slowly turning her into a geek.

Check out this parody of people getting engrossed in BSG. Its from season 2 of Portlandia and worth the 3 minutes.

There are a lot of BSG references in shows that came after it. You can tell writers were big fans.

Our IT guy at work was having a hard time doing something on my terminal and said frak. I recognized it immediately and we conversed at length about bsg

EJO is fantastic in that show, along with MANY of the other cast members. It's hard to pick just one (dozen!)

Keep watching. He has his demons to deal with like everyone else.

I personally really enjoyed Captain Tigh's character. And his wife. What a crazy couple they are!

I used to hang out in a BSG forum back when the series was still running. Ron Moore's wife would sometimes post there and once in a while one or two cast members. They would have an Oscar-style evening of awards to give out to various cast members and crew. It was fun.

A friend of mine let me borrow his bsg collection a couple years ago..that portlandia ep is so true... My wife and I had many all nighters with this one. Great caracter development. Great story... I loved the way it ended.

I had watched all of season 1 before my wife and friends. My wife finally decided to watch some after hearing some good things about it from some friends a little bit later. We started watching and it was definitely a lot like that Portlandia skit.

I especially enjoyed the end of season 1. I was sitting there on the couch practically giggling as Big Scene approached. As anticipated, she screamed at the TV and started hitting me and screaming at me! "NEXT EPISODE!"

Uh... Sorry. They aren't out yet. HAHAHAHAAHAA!!!!! (more hitting and swearing).

Yeah, I am just hitting season 3 and realizing that there are friends that I should bhave brought in sooner.

don't know if I can really sit through all of that again.

Did you guys actually buy the DVDs? I refuse. The fact that they split two of the seasons into two DVDs sets effectively DOUBLING the price of those seasons pretty much means that I will never buy the DVDs until the price drops way way down.

NETFLIX STREAMING 7.99/month

Possibly the best deal in the free world right now.

You could stream the whole freaking thing....(5 seasons?) all without getting up once off of the couch. No DVD's to store, always right there on demand.

Yeah, I know about the netflix. I have netflix. I like DVD quality, and owning it independent of having an internet connection. I "aquired" digital copies on my computer as they were released and still have them all. But of course that doesn't get you the special features and such.
