Went down to check on my recently kegged bitter and open the keezer lid to find my co2 tank has been bled dry.

Thankfully I didn't have to test my whole system when I found there was zero pressure in my new keg and the other was find.

Apparently when I gave it the initial pressure test it wasn't thorough enough, and the pressure relief was bad on it. Its a plastic lid which seemed weird, so I went ahead and ordered a new one.

Question is.. Should I be worried about the keg sitting in my keezer until the new lid comes without any pressure? I wouldn't think anything can get in there since there should be a nice layer of co2, but just thought I'd ask

If you're worried about, what about putting a layer of Saran wrap over the opening then putting the top on. You could probably put 1-2 psi in it to fill the headspace. This is completely based on theory however :) ... I have no idea if it'll work :)

Not a bad idea!

Plastic wrap definitely couldn't hurt, and better than worrying about it :)

I figure that there has to be a least a little pressure left in there, or at least all co2.

Thanks!
