Hey guys! I joined a few years ago but haven't been back in a while. Life has gotten pretty busy in the past few years. College, new job, girlfriend. All the usual things have been keeping me away from the glories of home brewing.
My girlfriend has been urging me to take up the hobby again, so a few weeks ago I picked up my old copy of the joy of home brewing and gave myself a refresher. Before I knew I'd re-read brewing classic styles, how to brew, as well as gotten deep, deep into this site, which I am was quickly reminded is by far the most friendly, supportive and knowledgable online community I've ever had the pleasure of being a member of.
Just brewed my first batch in a long time, an American pale straight out of brewing classic styles. Went great, and my numbers were spot on.
And I'm remembering now just how many hours a day it's possible to spend thinking about beer. After a few years dormant, I once again feel like a man obsessed.
Proud to be back with you guys.

I have to agree with John on this one. Once you start, it never lets you go completely! Especially when you get to the point where you can sample your wares. Then you get a taste of why it's called an obsession around here! Kinda like The Kinks song, you got me goin' now! You got me so I don't know what I'm doin'! :rockin:
