Just wondering if any body had any recommendations for any in Atlanta (that are still open). Since the weather is getting nice and chilly it is time to start making that sweet nectar again.
I know the default is going online, but I would really like to go local, just having a hard time finding a shop that has not closed shop or has a disconnected phone.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry can't use BMW, long story that's explored elsewhere on the board.

Winecraft is my local store, on Roswell right at 285. Nice ppl, decent selection but the prices are a little high. There is a 2nd one in Alpharetta, Brew Depot, whose prices are lower but its a little bit further of a drive.

There is a thriving local homebrew community and we do group bulk grain and hop buys. Visit www.inhbc.org for more info. Where are you in Atlanta?

Unfortunately Brewmaster's Warehouse can't ship within Georgia nor is it open to the public. See this thread for details and link for petition.

It is really my conclusion over the years and taking different things into account, there is only one LHBS that I can recommend:
http://www.justbrewit-ga.com/ I have never been there, but know people who really like it.
There is another new store on the Southside as well:
http://www.barleynvine.com/default.html

Other than that, I have a hard time (for various reasons) recommending any shops. I tend to shop online: AHS, Northerbrewer, MoreBeer.

EDIT: Oh yeah: www.inhbc.org

I agree with Beerrific, I have been to Just Brew It and they were helpful. I am interested to try the new one down south too.

Hop City in Midtown has some equipment and ingredients... I am sure they are very overpriced; and I can say for a fact that the hops are stored improperly.

inhbc.org !!!! 4tw

I called Brewmasters and they gave me the skinny. The guy was nice enough to give me some other shops to look up. I think I will give Brew Depot since it is close to my work.

Thanks for the heads up on that, I went back and read about the situation and think it is completely BS. I hope that situation changes, you ATL folks deserve to have fair competition just like anywhere else. :mug:

Agree 100%. When the guy told me they where not allowed to sell to residents of GA I was taken back, took me a good minute to get what he was telling me. Crazy!

It would be a long drive for you, but I go to Just Brew It in Fayetteville. Good selection, and Doug, the owner, is incredibly nice and helpful.
