I am currently a grad student and I'm working on my grad project of creating a business plan for a new start-up. I'm also relatively new to home brewing, but craft beers have been a big interest of mine in the last few years. When I find something I enjoy doing, like home brewing at the moment, I typically dive in and immerse myself entirely, and I've really loved learning more and more about beer making in general. I'd really love to write a business plan based around the craft brewing or home brew industry, but I need something new and different.

I was doing a good deal of research into a small/craft malthouse, but due to a high capital and other existing malthouses not too far away, that is not exactly the business venture I'm looking for in this business plan, although it would be a very interesting and rewarding venture.

So I'm just putting this out there to see if anyone has any ideas for a new business within the home brew community, but that is something new. I'm really looking for something that might be a void in the industry, or something that could be useful but is not currently available. It could be specific equipment, ingredients, apps, or anything like that which you feel could really benefit home brewers. Any and all ideas are welcomed and appreciated.

Thanks for any input!

Making conical or domed bottom kettles in the 20-50 gallon range, with a bottom drain and TC hole for an electric element. Add some re-circulation points, and a wire mesh basket for BIAB, and keep the price as low as possible.

I'll stop dreaming.
