Greetings everyone!
Just embarking on this journey of homebrew. Pre-pandemic I brewed a bit at home with a self-contained device that did most of the work to brew small one-gallon batches. They went out of business during the pandemic so I went back to store-bought brew. I've since built a new house with a proper bar and built in kegerator and have been serving store bought beer for the last 4 years. I'm now ready to make better beer by brewing it myself. I'm a life long craft beer fan (read beer with flavor, not Bud Light) With that in mind, what are your recommendations for your favorite on-line equipment and ingredients vendors?
Thank you.

Cheers!

Morebeer is a reliable "big guy".

Brewhardware.com is a reliable shop in NJ. No "free" shipping, but good prices and good selection, especially unique fittings. The owner Bobby, is a forum regular and fabricates a bunch of stuff. If you want custom welds or some consulting on a new fancy electric rig, definitely check with Bobby.
Also, Brewhardware has Weyermann Barke malts, which are fantastic.

Williams has a few things I haven't found elsewhere.

Ritebrew is supposed to be great for DME, and you may be in their good shipping range. I think people like them gor grain, too. I've never used them, but I think there are a bunch of happy customers here. (They're near Green Bay.)

Do you have a kettle in mind? If you're going all grain and want a good starter system, the all-in-ones are very convenient. I use a 120V brewzilla and my only complaint is slow heating. (Probably adds 1hr to brew day.) But so easy to set up and clean.

+ 1 for the Brewzilla. Grainfather and Anvil Foundry are other popular ones. Have you looked into getting a heating jacket for the Brewzilla? They are supposed to help heating time as well as lower heat loss as well.

I have it, and also drape a towel over it, but heating 7 gallons from 150F to 212F with 1500W takes 42 minutes even with no losses : (

I recommend Brewhardware.com for a host of equipment needs. Yakima Valley Hops is a great source for hops and Morebeer.com is my go to for most everything else.

Good luck moving forward and hoppy brewing.

No recommendations for Midwest supplies? Dont's bother they are WAY too expensive, and shipping too.
