It makes for a pretty intense maltiness in a beer. For example, I use a paltry 1/4 lb. of it in a 10 gal batch of a Deschutes Mirror Pond clone. I think that it ends up being something like 1% of the grain bill, but it's enough to round out the beer so that it's closer to the famously balanced MP.

Only advice - use it sparingly unless you reeeeeallly like malty beers.

This is an excellent clone recipe! But I think you could increase the Aromatic malt to 3lbs and you would get closer to the original.

Edit: Minus the chilis, of course.
