I have canned approx. 30 mason jars of applesauce in November and was wondering if it was possible to use some of the applesauce to make hard cider?
I have jars with cinnamon and some without. All properly canned in sterile jars. Let me know if you have ever heard of doing such a thing. A man can only eat so much applesauce but a man can drink gallons of hard cider. :)

Thanks

I would recommend brewing some cider normally (i.e. Juice/fresh cider and yeast), let it ferment completely dry, then rack it on top of the applesauce. It will need to age a while and might take a long time to clear. You'll have a lot of sediment in the bottom of your vessel, but that's not unusual. It can't hurt to try.
