apfelwein stratification?

Has anyone had layered clearing? The top 1.5" looks like it's clearing while the rest is still cloudy. I used 6 gal. of AJ from concentrate, 2 lbs. of light brown sugar, and Montrachet. Is my apfelwein stratified?

It clears from the top down. Be patient- it should all clear!
