I've got several pounds of random hops sitting in my freezer and wanted to attempt an APA that has a moderate hoppiness with a cohesive flavor profile, but uses an odd hop pairing. Below is the recipe I was think about doing, please critique the hop choices/timing if you've experienced poor results with something similar or if anything looks amiss. Thanks.
Recipe Type: All Grain
Yeast: WLP-007
Yeast Starter: Yes
Additional Yeast or Yeast Starter: 2L
Batch Size (Gallons): 5.5
Original Gravity: 1.055
Final Gravity: 1.014
IBU: 41
Boiling Time (Minutes): 90
Color: 5.1 SRM
1.25# Canadian 2-Row
5# Belgian Pilsner
3.3# Maris Otter
.7# Patagonia 15L
.4 oz Sorachi Ace @ 60 min
.5 oz Centennial @ 30 min
1 oz Centennial @ FO (whirlpool)
1 oz Willamette @ FO (whirlpool)
1 oz Centennial Dry Hop 4 Days
.5 oz Sorachi Ace Dry Hop 4 Days
.5 oz Willamette Dry Hop 4 Days
I have the following hops in store, so if you have a better suggestion for combinations hit me up with them:
1# Sorachi Ace
1# Centennial
1# Cascade
1# Jarrylo
1# Warrior
2 oz Willamette
2 oz Mittlefruh
3 oz Chinook (old & stored poorly)
2 oz Styrian Goldings
