We have a side by side fridge that has less fridge space than our old one however it has several drawers. I have staked claim to one drawer as my "beer drawer" that has a cool feature called power cool and a few other gizmos. Question is I'm a little hesitant about laying HB bottles on their side due to the sediment on the bottom. Do you think it would cause any problems?

It will probably make it difficult to have a clean pour. All the sediment will be on the side of the bottle instead of at the bottom.

Yep, that's exactly what I was going to say! It won't harm the beer at all, but the sediment will get mixed in when you lift them to pour.

One thought is to store them there, but the day before serving, put a few in the door upright. Then the sediment will slide to the bottom, and be there before serving.

Yooper's suggestion is what I do with my side-by-side fridge. I store anything being bottle conditioned on it's side in the fridge, but I also "reserved" one of the doors for beer where I can fit 8 bottles or so upright prior to drinking. After I take one from the door, I move one off the shelf.

Or... I just say the heck with it and drink some of the yeast. :)
